Here We Go
Little Gay Rant™ (okay, I don't have a trademark but don't steal it) started as a little gay fever dream after I posted a rant about the new show, Heartstopper, on Netflix.
I realized then that I needed a creative outlet to not only talk about my experiences as a gay man living in, perhaps not the most friendly area to gays, but also a place to talk about LGBTQ+ content like film, television, books, news, and whatever else we can dip our rainbow-painted hands into.
I'll start with an introduction: my name is Zach and I live in Alabama (yikes, I know). I came out to absolutely no one until I turned 25. For a long time, I let my status as a "late bloomer" into the gay community create a bitterness in me. Then I realized, everyone's journey is different and I've slowly become more grateful for mine. I mean, heck, Pete Buttigieg didn't come out until his early 30s and now he's a Cabinet secretary. So there's hope for me yet.
